Pet Photography in Sydney: Every way I can photograph your pet
If you've landed here, you're probably trying to figure out whether I'm the right photographer for you and your pet. Good news! This post covers everything I offer, so you can find what fits and stop scrolling through Instagram trying to piece it together.
I'm Rachel, and I run Furtographer from my home studio in Bradbury in South West Sydney. I photograph pets across Greater Sydney, the Southern Highlands, and the Illawarra, including Sydney Metro, Campbelltown, Camden, Wollongong, Bowral, Penrith, and everywhere in between.
Here's a breakdown of every session type I offer.
Studio Pet Photography
My home studio in Bradbury is set up specifically for pet photography. That means the lighting is dialled in, the space is calm, and I'm not competing with foot traffic or unpredictable weather.
Studio sessions are ideal if your dog is reactive, easily distracted, or if you just want a really clean, polished result. The controlled environment means we can get consistent, beautiful portraits without chasing your dog around a park hoping for the best.
Studio sessions are available for dogs, cats, and small animals.

Outdoor Pet Photography
For dogs who come alive outside, an outdoor session is the best option. I work in local parks and reserves across South West Sydney and can travel further for the right location.
Outdoor sessions capture your pet in motion, in their element, doing what they do best. Whether that's bolting across a grassy oval, nose-deep in a hedge, or just sitting there looking majestic, we'll find the moments that actually look like them.
Because I'm working across relatively accessible, flat terrain, outdoor sessions suit most dogs regardless of age or mobility.

In-Home Pet Photography
Some pets are just themselves at home. The couch dog who has claimed the armchair. The cat who won't come out for anyone except in their own space. The senior dog who doesn't travel well anymore.
In-home sessions meet your pet where they're comfortable. I come to you, work with your existing space and light, and capture portraits that feel genuinely lived-in rather than staged.
In-home sessions are especially popular for senior pets and multi-pet households where getting everyone out the door at once sounds like a nightmare.
In-home sessions available across: Campbelltown, Camden, Wollongong, the Southern Highlands, and Greater Sydney metro.
Market Stall Sessions
A few times a year, I set up a stall at local pet events and markets, offering affordable on-the-spot portraits. It's a lower-commitment way to get a great photo of your dog without booking a full session.
Prices at markets are kept accessible on purpose. You pay, I shoot, you get your image that same day. Simple!
Follow my socials or join my mailing list to hear about upcoming stall dates. These sell out fast.
Commercial Pet Photography
If you run a pet business and your website is still using stock photos, that's a missed opportunity.
I work with groomers, trainers, vets, pet product brands, doggy daycare centres, and other pet-industry businesses to create professional images they can actually use. That means images shot specifically for your brand, with your animals (or mine, if you need models), built around how you need to use them.
Commercial packages are scoped individually depending on what you need. If you're launching a business, updating your website, or need content for a product, get in touch, and we'll figure out what makes sense.
Commercial pet photography available across: Greater Sydney, Campbelltown, Camden, Wollongong, and the Illawarra region.
Seasonal Mini Sessions
A few times a year, I run themed mini sessions around key dates. Past themes have included Christmas, Easter, and Valentine's Day. These are typically shorter sessions at a lower price point, with sets and props styled for the season.
Mini sessions book out quickly because spots are limited. The best way to grab one is to be on the mailing list so you hear about them first.
Current and upcoming seasonal sessions will always be listed on the booking page.
So, Which Session Is Right for You?
Here's the short version:
Studio if you want clean, polished portraits or have a reactive/easily distracted dog
Outdoor if your dog is full of energy and you want action and personality shots
In-home if your pet is more comfortable at home, or is a senior
Market stall if you want something affordable and low-commitment
Commercial if you need professional images for your pet business
Seasonal minis if there's a specific time of year you want to mark
If you're still not sure, just send me a message. Tell me about your pet and what you're after, and I'll point you in the right direction.
