How I Do Things at Furtographer
I run this business how I like to be treated by other businesses.
Great service. Fun memories. No pressure. Reasonable prices.
It's different to most professional photographers.
There is no right or wrong, but this is what feels right for me.
Why don’t you do sales appointments or big reveal sessions?
I personally hate feeling put on the spot to make financial decisions while someone waits for an answer. Even when the photos are beautiful. Even when I want them.
That “sit-down, decide-now” feeling makes my brain shut down, and I realised I wasn’t alone. A lot of people love professional photos but quietly dread the pressure that can come after.
So I built my business in a way that avoids that entirely.
No sales rooms.
No awkward pauses.
No pressure to upgrade in the moment.
You get time, space and clarity instead.
Do you sell wall art and printed products?
Yes… If you want them.
Some people love big artwork. Others don’t. Some rent, some move often, some just aren’t wall-art people. All totally valid.
Beautiful artwork is available, but it’s never the focus and never expected.
Why are digital files the main thing you offer?
Because that’s how most people actually live now.
Digital files let you:
• Enjoy the photos every day on your phone
• Share them with friends and family
• Print later, or not at all
• Choose what works for your life
There’s freedom in that. No rush. No rules.
I focus on creating images you love. What you do with them afterwards is completely up to you.
Is this because you’re cheaper or more “budget”?
Nope.
I price my work fairly for the time, skill and care that goes into it. What I don’t do is inflate prices to force certain buying decisions.
You’ll see all pricing upfront. No hidden costs. No “investment guides”.
Premium photography doesn’t need premium pressure.
What if I only want a few photos?
That’s fine.
What if you want more later?
Also fine.
You buy what suits you. You upgrade only if you genuinely want to. There’s no judgment either way.
I’d rather you leave feeling good about your choices than pressured into something you didn’t plan for, or worse, really cannot afford.
Who is this approach best suited to?
Honestly… people like me.
People who:
• Love their pets deeply
• Want beautiful photos
• Appreciate transparency
• Don’t want sales pressure
• Want to stay in control of their budget
If that sounds like you, you’ll probably feel very comfortable here.
So what’s the big difference with Furtographer?
I focus on:
• Clear pricing
• Digital-first flexibility
• No-pressure decision making
• Respect for different budgets
Photography should feel exciting, not intimidating.
You deserve beautiful photos and a process that feels good.
